We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Standards Associate to join our Financial Promotions team within Compliance Operations.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in financial promotions, compliance, quality assurance, mortgage administration, or wider financial services who is looking to develop their regulatory expertise within a leading mortgage and protection network. You'll play a key role in helping firms create compliant marketing materials while ensuring positive customer outcomes and maintaining the high standards expected by Stonebridge and the FCA.

Key responsibilities

  • Review and approve a wide range of financial promotions, including websites, social media content, email campaigns, advertisements, printed materials and customer communications.
  • Assess promotional materials against FCA requirements, MCOB rules, Consumer Duty expectations and Stonebridge standards.
  • Provide clear, practical and constructive feedback to advisers and firms where amendments are required.
  • Act as a key point of contact for regulatory queries relating to financial promotions.
  • Support advisers and firms in developing compliant marketing materials that deliver good customer outcomes.
  • Identify and escalate regulatory risks, emerging themes and recurring compliance issues.
  • Contribute to quality assurance activities, calibration exercises and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the development of guidance materials, training content and regulatory communications.
  • Maintain accurate records, management information and audit trails to support regulatory oversight.

Our ideal candidate

We're looking for someone who combines strong attention to detail with a passion for compliance and delivering excellent service.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience within mortgage, protection, financial services, compliance, quality assurance or regulatory environments.
  • File reviewing experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • The ability to interpret and apply regulatory requirements consistently.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Confidence communicating regulatory requirements in a clear and practical manner.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

It would be advantageous if you also have:

  • Experience reviewing financial promotions.
  • Knowledge of FCA Financial Promotion rules, MCOB and Consumer Duty.
  • Experience within the mortgage and protection sector.
  • CeMAP or another relevant mortgage, compliance or regulatory qualification.
