As part of the Family First Reforms, we have been able to access additional funds for three new Business Support Administrator posts in Children’s Social Care.
The Roles
Business Support Administrator in our CSPA, MACPT and Assessment Service
The ideal candidate for this role would need to be calm and empathetic as you will be taking contacts from families, members of the public and professionals both on the telephone and over email. You will be organising meetings at short notice, taking comprehensive minutes, and circulating in short timescales. You will also be part of an integral part of the Multi-Agency Child Protection Team (MACPT) which is a new team introduced as part of the Family First Reforms.
Business Support Administrator in our Family Help and Safeguarding Service
The ideal candidate for this role would need excellent time management skills due to working closely with managers, social workers and family help practitioners within a fast-paced service. You will be organising meetings, taking comprehensive minutes, sending out letters, putting together court bundles as well as processing invoices and petty cash.
Business Support Administrator in our Children with Disabilities, Children in Care and Leaving Care teams
The ideal candidate will need excellent prioritising ability as you will be working across three teams. The role works closely with managers, social workers, family help practitioners and personal assistants providing them with admin support in their day-to-day work. You will also be involved in raising purchase orders, paying invoices and making regular payments.

- Minute taking skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Will need to be resilient due to the nature of the role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach to work
- Previous experience in an administrative role is essential, ideally within a public sector or customer-focused environment

You will also be entitled to a generous annual leave entitlement starting at 28 days per annum (plus public holidays) Rising by an additional 5 days after 5 years’ service.
