Business Support Administrator
📍 Onyx Scientific | Pharmaceutical CDMO
Location: Sunderland
Part-time (3-4 days per week) | Permanent

At Onyx Scientific, we partner with academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical organisations worldwide, providing high-quality scientific support from early discovery through to commercial manufacture.
We're looking for a Business Support Administrator to play a key role in supporting our commercial and operational activities.
The Role
As our Business Support Administrator, you'll provide essential administrative support across a range of business activities, helping ensure the smooth operation of client-facing and internal processes.
This is a varied and rewarding role offering exposure to commercial operations, client management and business support activities within a successful and growing pharmaceutical organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client documentation including NDAs and service agreements
- Maintain and update CRM systems and customer records
- Support preparation and issuing of quotations and standard documentation
- Coordinate client communications and business updates
- Support contract management, including tracking, storage, and updates
- Assist with invoicing processes and purchase order administration
- Organise meetings, including scheduling, minute-taking, and action tracking
- Maintain accurate records in line with quality and regulatory standards
- Support preparation of reports, presentations, and business documentation
- Provide general administrative support, including travel and event coordination

About You
We're looking for a highly organised individual who enjoys supporting others, working with accuracy and delivering excellent service.
You'll be confident managing multiple priorities, handling sensitive information professionally and working within structured processes.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience in an administrative, coordination, or business support role
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues and clients.
- High attention to detail and accuracy when handling business documentation.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using CRM systems, databases or document management systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage commercially sensitive information.
Desirable Experience
- Experience within the pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences, manufacturing or other regulated environments.
- Knowledge of GMP, GxP or quality-regulated processes.
- Experience supporting contracts, service agreements or quality systems.
- Familiarity with invoicing and purchase order processes.
- Experience supporting client communications, newsletters or commercial activities.
