Business Support Administrator

Glasgow (Office-Based)

Circa £29,000 – £33,000 (negotiable for the right candidate)

You are good at admin. Genuinely good - not just organised, but properly switched on. You notice things before you are asked to notice them. You pick up the phone with confidence. And you have probably spent time in a role where you’ve consistently gone the extra mile to help your colleagues and the business succeed. If that sounds familiar, keep reading.

Who We Are

We have been operating in Scotland since 1932, and the business looks nothing like it did when it started. Today we run an access platform fleet that includes truck-mounted platforms up to 70 metres, rope access teams, and contracts that range from commercial window cleaning PPM programmes to inspections and other work at height maintenance tasks. We are family-run, we are growing, and the last 18 months have seen some of the most significant capital investment in our history.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is not a narrow admin role. You will be supporting the Office Manager, senior management, and the wider operation - handling correspondence, managing schedules, maintaining records, supporting H&S compliance, inbound enquiries and troubleshooting day-to-day IT and systems issues.

The Standard

The business needs someone who picks up the phone with a warm, confident, professional manner every single time. Someone who does not wait to be told what to do. Someone who, when they spot a problem, arrives with a solution rather than just a question. The team is direct, high quality and hard-working, and we're looking for someone who shares these principles.

What You Need

A Telephone Manner That Does the Business Justice

This is a hard filter. You are often the first voice a client or prospect hears. Confident, prompt, and pleasant is the baseline - not the aspiration.

Administrative Competence with Real Breadth

Around 3+ years in an admin or office support role. Comfortable across Microsoft Office, capable on a CRM or similar system, and fast and accurate when it comes to data entry and records.

Proactive Ownership

You've never said, “that's not my job”. If something needs doing and you can do it, you do it. If you can't, you find the right person. You're someone who loves being helpful and seeing the business succeed, knowing you've had a real impact.

Adaptability

The day will move. Priorities will shift. You will need to hold multiple threads at once without dropping any of them. If variety energises you rather than unsettles you, that is a good sign.

What We Offer

  • Salary of circa £29,000 – £33,000, negotiable depending on experience
  • A permanent role with genuine room to grow as the business grows
  • Real variety and autonomy - this is not a role where you will be doing the same thing every day
  • A direct, unpretentious team in a business that has been doing this for nearly a century and is still investing and expanding
Trusted by 25,000+ job seekers

“It took my CV and asked me questions relevant to understanding what kind of jobs to suggest for me. Suggestions were almost perfect. Jobs were exactly what I’ve been looking for.”
