Business Support Administrator
Six-month fixed-term contract, with potential to become permanent | Part-time | Glasgow or Aberdeen office | Energy recruitment sector
Granite Recruitment is an energy-focused recruitment agency placing skilled contractors with leading clients across the sector. We are looking for an organised and detail-driven Business Support Administrator to provide dependable administrative support across the business. Payroll coordination will form a small but important part of this varied role, alongside placement processing, mailbox management, and maintaining accurate operational records.
The role
- Process candidate placements accurately and ensure all required information and documentation are complete.
- Manage central mailboxes, responding to enquiries and directing correspondence to the appropriate colleagues.
- Process payments for limited company contractors accurately and on time.
- Raise invoices and help ensure payroll and billing information is correct.
- Maintain accurate records and support smooth communication between payroll, accounts, and operations.
- Provide general administrative support across the business as required.

About you
- Excellent attention to detail and a reliable, accurate approach to work.
- Strong Excel skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Previous administrative experience, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage shared mailboxes effectively.
- Experience supporting ISO 9001 accreditation or quality management processes would be advantageous.
- Basic accounting knowledge and confidence working with figures.
- Experience with Xero would be helpful.
- Awareness of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

The preferred working pattern is Wednesday to Friday, based in our Glasgow office. However, we may consider a full-time arrangement for the right candidate.
This is initially a six-month fixed-term contract, with the potential to become a permanent staff position.
