We are looking for an initiative-taking Business Support Analyst to join our Business Banking team. You will play a key role in supporting recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and business operations, helping to deliver excellent colleague experience while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at our Glasgow office. As you'll be based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events. RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll be doing
This role plays a key part in supporting the effective operation of the Business Banking function, providing coordination across recruitment, onboarding, people initiatives, and business support activities. Responsibilities include managing end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure a positive colleague experience, producing recruitment, headcount, and performance reporting to support workforce planning and business objectives, and coordinating a range of business and people-related initiatives. The role requires strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights that support informed decision-making. It also involves proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance operational efficiency, and strengthen the colleague experience. In addition, the Business Support Analyst will support change activity, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to deliver successful outcomes across the function. Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across Business Banking and key support functions will be essential to ensuring effective collaboration and the successful delivery of business priorities.

About you
- Experience in a business support, operations, recruitment, project coordination, or similar analytical support role.
- Proven experience producing and interpreting management information (MI), reports, or business performance data to support decision-making.
- Experience supporting change initiatives, projects, process improvements, or continuous improvement activities.
- Experience coordinating activities across multiple stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and ensuring delivery to agreed timescales.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships and influence stakeholders at different levels.
- A proactive, curious and solutions-focused approach, with the confidence to challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
