Grade I: £41,771 – £46,142 per annum (pay award pending)

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 37 per week

About The Role

We are recruiting a Business Support and Visitor Economy Team Leader to join our shared Economic Development and Regeneration Team working across Cannock Chase District and Stafford Borough Councils. Working together, the two Councils deliver a range of business support activities alongside promotion of the local visitor economy and we’re looking for an experienced Economic Development professional who can provide ongoing support to businesses.

Supervising a team of three Business Support and Visitor Economy Officers you’ll find that no two days are the same. Alongside the mixture of overseeing the delivery of the two Councils new business support programme and supporting the Local Visitor Economy Partnership, you’ll also be working closely with the Strategy and Regeneration Delivery Team Leader on completion of performance management reports and government statistics.

About You

You will have:

  • The ability to motivate, support and develop a team
  • Experience of scoping and delivering programmes of tailored business support
  • An understanding of the local and national visitor economy and its relationship with the broader local economy
  • The ability to analyse problems, interpret complex information and identify practical solutions
  • Demonstrable ability to write clear and concise reports
