Job Introduction
Looking to kick-start your career and gain valuable experience in a busy, professional environment? Vp plc has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Business Support Apprentice and develop a broad range of skills that will set you up for a successful career in business.
Working alongside experienced colleagues across the business, you’ll gain hands-on experience in everything from administration and purchasing to organising meetings, communication and supporting day-to-day business operations. No two days will be the same, giving you the chance to learn, take on new responsibilities and build your confidence along the way.
Alongside practical experience, you’ll complete a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship, gaining a recognised qualification while earning and developing your career with us.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing general administrative support, including document preparation, data entry, filing, records and post
- Supporting purchasing and finance administration, including raising purchase orders and liaising with colleagues and suppliers
- Helping organise meetings, events and internal activities, including diaries, rooms, documentation and refreshments
- Responding to routine enquiries professionally and building positive relationships with colleagues, customers and other contacts
- Supporting office operations, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock and maintaining shared facilities
- Assisting with projects, ad-hoc tasks and opportunities to improve everyday processes
- Developing confidence and skills in Microsoft Office, business systems and wider business processes
- Working collaboratively with different teams while adapting to changing priorities
- Taking increasing ownership and responsibility as your knowledge, skills and confidence develop

Your Apprenticeship
Alongside your role, you’ll complete a Level 3 Business Administrator Apprenticeship, combining practical workplace experience with formal learning and ongoing support.
You’ll be encouraged to take an active role in your development, learn how the business operates, seek feedback and put your learning into practice.
By the end of the apprenticeship, you’ll have a recognised qualification, valuable experience and a strong foundation for your future career.
What We’re Looking For
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- Approaches work in a reliable and professional manner
- Understands the importance of confidentiality and handles sensitive information responsibly
- Ability to handle multiple conflicting priorities
- Self-driven and proactive in own learning and development
- GCSE Maths and English (minimum grade 4 or C and above)
