About the Department
The Family Help Team works with children, young people and families to provide early support, promote positive outcomes and help prevent issues from escalating. The service brings together a range of professionals who work collaboratively to support families through assessment, planning and intervention. The service works closely with internal teams and partner agencies to ensure families receive the right support at the right time. As a Business Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the team's work through the provision of efficient administrative support, meeting coordination, minute taking and record management, helping to ensure the service runs smoothly and effectively and delivers the best possible outcomes for families.
About the Role
As a Business Support Assistant, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the Family Help Team, including accurate minute taking, answering and managing telephone enquiries, maintaining busy shared inboxes, coordinating panel meetings, tracking and monitoring data, and maintaining accurate records on Liquidlogic Children's System (LCS).

You will work closely with colleagues, managers and partner agencies to ensure the efficient delivery of services and contribute to positive outcomes for children, young people and families.

What We’re Looking For
We're looking for someone who has:
- Excellent organisational and communication skills;
- Experience of providing administrative support in a busy environment;
- The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accuracy when handling data and records;
- Confidence in minute-taking and co-ordinating meetings;
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications;
- A proactive approach to working collaboratively as part of a team.
This role is currently hybrid where office attendance is required in both the Civic Offices and our Family Hubs within Thurrock.
