Administrative Support for Integrated Children’s Community Nursing and Therapy Team
To provide comprehensive administrative support to the Integrated Children’s Community Nursing and Therapy team. Based in Lancaster, the post holder would be required to prioritise incoming business to meet service demands and to work on their own initiative to support the team.
The Integrated Children's Nursing and Therapy Team works to provide a service for children who have physical difficulties, communication difficulties, and nursing needs in the community.
The ICNT team is part of the University Hospital of Morecambe Bay Trust which is a University teaching hospital that provides community and hospital services across the Morecambe Bay area.

To provide a range of secretarial support to Integrated Children's Nursing and Therapy Team with the support of the Team Co-ordinator. To assist in the organisation of the services workload, to act as first point of contact for patients, relatives, carers and other outside agencies, adding referrals, arranging appointments (in a variety of contexts from homes, schools, nurseries, children centres), scheduling clinics / group sessions, ordering supplies, raising purchase orders, scanning and creating resources. An integral part of the role is the input and extraction of data/information from the Trust’s patient information and related IT systems, plus the provision of relevant documentation and data to ensure information is fully up to date.
In undertaking the role, the post holder will be required to initiate their own tasks and prioritise their own workload under the supervision of the Team Co-ordinator.
We operate from three main hospitals—Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.

FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical/Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery. In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
