You'll be joining the Mortgage Intermediary & Partnerships (MI&P) leadership team, working closely with the Director to support the planning, coordination and delivery of business priorities across the function. The role brings together business planning, stakeholder engagement and leadership support to ensure the right information, people and actions are aligned, enabling effective decision-making and successful delivery of outcomes.
Acting as a central point of coordination, you'll build strong relationships across the business to bring together people, information and activity. Through effective planning, communication and stakeholder engagement, you'll help improve visibility of priorities, support leadership effectiveness and contribute to the successful delivery of business outcomes.
We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.
At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.
For this role, you'll be based at your nearest regional office or hub. We value time spent together to connect with colleagues for collaboration so there will be a regular requirement to attend our Bournemouth or London site approximately once per week. If you are based at an office location, you'll be expected to meet our hybrid working requirement of at least two days a week, or 40% of your working time if part-time, in the office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.
Nationwide is committed to the redeployment of our employees impacted by change, as such applications for redeployment candidates will be prioritised in this recruitment process.
If you’re a colleague on long-term absence (for example, on parental leave) or a temporary worker, please use your personal email address to submit an application.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll be doing
You'll work closely with the Director to understand business priorities, upcoming commitments and strategic objectives, helping to turn these into clear actions and deliverables and then co-ordinating the delivery of these across the MI&P leadership team. By building strong relationships across the business, you'll gather information, insight and data from a range of stakeholders and bring this together into concise briefings, presentations, reports and leadership updates to support effective decision-making. You'll coordinate leadership meetings, planning activity and business reviews, ensuring actions, decisions and dependencies are tracked through to completion.
As a central point of coordination across key priorities, you'll help maintain momentum and visibility of delivery, working closely with the Director's PA to ensure leadership time is aligned to business objectives. You'll also support external engagement activity, stakeholder events and leadership communications, while monitoring progress against agreed priorities and highlighting risks, dependencies and areas requiring leadership focus.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
