Business Support Coordinator

Salary: £29,000.00 per annum plus Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Chilton Power Station, Durham, DL17 0PB

What you’ll be doing

  • Raise and manage Purchase Orders, process invoices, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth procurement operations
  • Manage PPE inventory across the site, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained and all compliance requirements are met
  • Liaise with the customs import/export team to coordinate goods transfers and ensure all documentation is processed correctly
  • Prepare accurate daily and end-of-month operational reports, maintaining data entry, document control, and filing systems using Workday and Google Workspace
  • Maintain critical compliance records including RAMS, COSHH documentation, and organise health screening, face fit testing, and training requirements for the team
  • Support Maintenance and Operations teams using CMMS, log safety concerns on the Health and Safety Management System, and act as scribe for meetings
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal stakeholders and support process improvement initiatives across the department

What we're looking for

  • Proficiency with Workday and Google Workspace, with strong technical aptitude for learning new systems
  • Proven experience in purchase order management and procurement processes, with excellent supplier liaison skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail with strong data entry and organisational capabilities to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage professionally with stakeholders at all levels
  • Demonstrated ability to produce accurate daily and end-of-month reports with a focus on quality and timeliness
  • Strong customer service orientation with a proactive, solution-focused approach
  • Experience in a regulated industry environment (desirable); CMMS system experience and advanced skills in Excel, Power Automate, or Power BI would be advantageous
