Job Summary

We have a great opportunity for a Business Support Executive to join us and work within our Workplace and Business Services. You will undertake support activities for key operational contracts and support the day-to-day management and performance monitoring of critical Facilities Management services and contracts.

In this role, if you haven’t already completed the Government Commercial Function – Contract Management Foundation Course, we will support you through this.

We have 2 Permanent roles and 2 Temporary roles for 6 months with the possibility of being made permanent.

Job Description

In this role you will actively engage in continuous improvement activities, for both the team and suppliers and become involved in aspects of work within the group including but not limited to Contract Management, Statutory Compliance, Environmental Sustainability, Estate Management and budgeting/financial management.

In addition, the role holder may be required to undertake line management duties and coach and develop their staff.

Person Specification

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following throughout the recruitment process:

Essential Experience

  • Experience of working as part of a team and under own initiative.
  • Experience of coaching, mentoring and developing.
  • Experience of handling and influencing customers.
  • Experience of prioritising a varied workload and handling sensitive information effectively to meet delivery deadlines and unplanned demands.
  • Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams and working with stakeholders across an organisation.
  • Good level of IT literacy and PC skills including use of MS Office tools.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable Experience

  • Experience of working in a commercial/contract management environment.

Where an individual taking up the responsibility will be based in Swansea Office, the ability to speak Welsh is desirable. This will not be tested in the application or interview process.

HMLR expect everyone to spend at least 60% of their working time in the office.
