Karak Chaii is a fast-growing Indian street food brand that has evolved from a self-funded dream into a £20 million enterprise. Since opening the first café in Birmingham in 2019, the brand has expanded to 27 locations across the UK, with plans to reach 40 by the end of 2026 and continued growth each year. Karak Chaii is known for its signature strong, sweet desi chai and a menu inspired by Indian street food culture and family heritage. The company aims to create welcoming, community-focused spaces and is exploring international expansion in markets including the USA, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Malaysia, and India. Team members join a dynamic, ambitious environment with opportunities to grow alongside the brand’s expansion.

Role Description

The Business Support Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Birmingham, responsible for supporting the operational and financial performance of Karak Chaii’s locations. This role oversees day-to-day business operations, including monitoring store performance, coordinating processes, and ensuring consistency in service and standards across the network.

Qualifications

  • Analytical Skills: Interpret performance data, identify trends, and support strategic decisions.
  • Operations Management Skills: Oversee processes, support store teams, and maintain consistent standards across locations.
  • Finance and Budgeting Skills: Manage budgets, review financial reports, and support cost control and profitability.
  • Effective Communication Skills: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, support franchise partners, and convey information clearly.
  • Experience: Experience in multi-site retail, hospitality, or food and beverage environments is essential.
  • Other Skills: Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency: Proficiency in common business software (e.g., spreadsheets, reporting tools, communication platforms) is advantageous.
  • Education: A relevant degree or equivalent experience in business, operations, finance, or a related field is preferred.
