Business Support Manager

Abbott Diabetes Care
With a track record of innovation and development, Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems for use in both home and hospital settings.
We have a Global Centre of Excellence for Medical Devices based in Witney, Oxfordshire. The site manufactures significant volumes of test strips annually and has also been instrumental in the research, development and manufacture of the FreeStyle Libre portfolio of glucose monitoring systems, transforming the lives of millions of people worldwide.
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Support Manager to join our manufacturing and R&D facility in Witney, Oxfordshire.
This is a varied and highly visible role, responsible for driving internal communications, employee engagement activities, business support initiatives, and key site projects. Acting as a central point of coordination across the site, you will work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure employees are informed, engaged and connected to the site's strategy, achievements and priorities.
The successful candidate will bring a strong communications background, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of the Witney internal communications strategy, ensuring consistent and effective communication across the site.
- Create engaging communication materials including newsletters, videos, digital content, corridor displays and printed literature.
- Facilitate the sharing of site success stories and achievements across Abbott Diabetes Care, Abbott UK and global communications platforms.
- Partner with project teams and business functions to develop communication plans for new initiatives, policies and programmes.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and help deliver a positive employee experience across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding activities.
- Maintain and continuously improve communication channels, information management tools and SharePoint resources.
- Develop dashboards, metrics and reporting to demonstrate the impact and effectiveness of communications and business support activities.
- Coordinate and support site-wide projects, events and engagement activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiencies and deliver cost-saving initiatives.

To Be Successful, You Will Have
- Experience developing and delivering internal communications within a corporate or manufacturing environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Experience creating engaging communication content across a variety of platforms and formats.
- Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders and working with confidential information.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the confidence to work independently.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
