Business Support Officer
Purpose of Job
The Business Support Officer provides administrative and operational support to the Business Support Analyst and Independent Financial Advisers, ensuring accurate records, efficient processes, and effective adviser support across the business, ensuring all information is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with GDPR and FCA regulations.
Salary Range
£28,000 - £30,000
Working Hours
9-5pm Monday – Friday

The Role
The Business Support Officer provides essential administrative and operational support to the Business Support Analyst and Independent Financial Advisers, helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of central business systems and processes. The role is responsible for maintaining accurate client records, supporting adviser queries and training, coordinating payments and fee reconciliation, assisting with provider clawbacks, producing management information, and supporting file-checking and compliance processes. The role requires a professional, proactive, and approachable individual with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of financial services.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Business Support Analyst, ensuring the efficient and timely completion of day-to-day activities.
- Provide effective administrative support to Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs), responding to queries and assisting with the smooth running of adviser processes.
- Create, process, and maintain accurate and up-to-date client records within the Intelligent Office back-office system.
- Act as the first point of contact for Adviser queries relating to Intelligent Office, providing guidance and resolving issues where possible.
- Liaise with external providers, as required, to facilitate and ensure the timely processing of payments.
- Accurately match and reconcile client fees, investigating and resolving any discrepancies as necessary.
- Assist with the administration and resolution of provider clawbacks, ensuring all actions are completed accurately and within the required deadlines.
- Produce management information (MI) and reports as required to support business operations and decision-making.
- Share responsibility with the Business Support Analyst for the accurate and timely completion of the Adviser Payment Run.
- Produce and maintain the File Checking Listing for Bankhall, ensuring records remain accurate and up to date, and liaise with Bankhall as required.

What We Are Looking For
- A good knowledge of Microsoft packages including Word and Excel
- Proficient use of a CRM system
- Strong focus on accuracy and precision
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Effective time management and ability to work independently
- Skilled in computer applications and software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
