The Box's Mission

The Box's mission is to be a social space for art, people and ideas, with learning, participation and artistic excellence at its heart. We are a hybrid cultural organisation – part museum, gallery and archive. Recently named Art Fund Museum of the Year 2026, we are keen to build on this success in the years ahead.

Business Support Officer Role

With the support of the British Film Institute (BFI) Screen Heritage Fund, awarding National Lottery funding, the Business Support Officer will support The Box's Archives team in delivering our newly funded BFI project, Reframing the Region. The Box secures major BFI funding to transform access to Southwest film heritage | The Box Plymouth

Key Responsibilities

  • Working across the project's four key workstreams, the Business Support Officer will undertake a range of administrative duties while also having the opportunity to learn about our film collections and archival processes.
  • We are looking for someone with a strong interest in film archives, alongside the organisational and administrative skills needed to support a major project.
  • The project will be transformational in how we manage and provide access to our film collections, while strengthening engagement and collaboration with partners across the sector.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
