Business Support Officer (Data and Systems)
Peterhouse School, Southport
Salary: £23,722 (based on 35 hours per week)
35 hours per week, Term time only (Part time also considered)
Peterhouse School is looking for an organised, proactive and highly skilled Business Support Officer to join our school office team and play a key role in supporting the smooth and effective running of the school.
This is a varied and rewarding role for someone who enjoys working with data, systems and people, and who takes pride in delivering accurate, efficient and high-quality administrative support. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, teachers, support staff, families and external agencies, helping to ensure that the school’s business and administrative systems operate effectively.
About The Role
As Business Support Officer, you will have responsibility for a wide range of administrative and data-related functions across the school. You will be the key administrator for the school's management information systems and other software packages, supporting staff with system access, basic troubleshooting and training.

You will maintain accurate pupil and staff records, monitor attendance data, produce reports and support the Senior Leadership Team with information required for governors, Ofsted, Local Authorities and other external organisations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Information Management Systems: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records using systems including SIMS, Arbor, and Microsoft Office. This includes pupil and staff data, attendance, and other essential school information.
- Data Management: Support Senior Leaders in compiling data as required for reporting for e.g. Governors, Ofsted - this may include data on monitoring, attendance, behaviour, data protection, safeguarding, training etc.
- School Website Maintenance: Supporting the maintenance and compliance of the school website in line with Dfe requirements. Regularly check website for any required updates e.g. policies to be updated, expired links.
- Exam Support: Completing annual centre declarations for individual exam boards and registering learners onto courses as required by the examinations Board.
