The Role
Are you a skilled, customer-focused administrator looking for a new opportunity to make a difference?
We’re looking for a Business Support Officer to join our team, supporting a wide range of work that develops and strengthens professional practice across adult social care and housing services.
Our team remit spans learning and career development, practice assurance, regulatory and statutory standards and much more. As we take forward new plans, you’ll play an important part in helping us deliver them.
What will you be doing?
- Providing a high standard of administrative support for the delivery of workforce development and practice assurance activities.

About You
You’ll be organised, confident with administrative tasks, and able to build positive professional relationships with colleagues and partners from the outset. You’ll also work with sensitive data, maintain accurate records and support compliance, so a good understanding of data protection is important. I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
