Job Introduction

Job Title: Business Support Officer

Starting Salary: £25,583 opportunity to progress £28,412 per annum - pay award pending

Hours: 37 per week

Location: Stevenage Old Town. Please be advised that this role is based on site 5 days a week

Contract Type: Permanent

About The Team

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Business Support Officer to provide essential administrative, financial, and operational support to our Intensive Family Support Team based in Stevenage Old Town. This varied, office-based role involves coordinating meetings and events, maintaining records and databases, managing purchasing and finance processes, supporting programmes and group activities, and liaising with colleagues, partners, and service users. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the service, helping to maintain compliance, support client-focused work, and contribute to a positive and efficient working environment.

About You

Essential:

  • You will be used to working to tight deadlines and with high accuracy in written correspondence.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Strong communication skill abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Packages, Word, Excel.
  • Experience in working as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to plan own work over short timescales for routine or familiar tasks and processes and use your initiative to work independently.
  • GCSE or Vocational equivalent, strong numeracy, and literacy skills.
  • Enthusiasm and pride in your work are qualities we welcome.
