Supporting Residential Children's Homes in the North Area
We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Business Support Officer to enhance our already established friendly and supportive team who will contribute to the key work of the Education and Children's Directorate.

Location
This post will be based either at Childrens Social Care, Rothwell Drive, Fleetwood FY7 8FF or Childrens Social Care, Mill 14, Lancaster LA1 3SE providing remote support to the Home Manager and operational staff based at various children's homes in the North. We are currently working a combination of home and office working, therefore, you will be required to have a suitable confidential working space within your home and an appropriate broadband connection.

Knowledge and Experience – Ideally you will have experience of working within an administration setting and have knowledge of using Microsoft packages and databases.
Great Communication – You'll be engaging and providing advice to Managers, Social Workers, families, members of the public and the rest of the team on a daily basis, so being able to clearly communicate the information you need and listen to individual requirements is key.

Local Government Reorganisation
The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.
If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council.
