We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Team Co-ordinator to join our friendly, supportive and dedicated Business Support team within Lancashire County Council's Family Safeguarding Service.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a vital role in supporting frontline practitioners and managers who work with some of Lancashire's most vulnerable children and families.

About the Family Safeguarding Team

Family Safeguarding is an innovative, multi-disciplinary approach that aims to safely keep families together, improve children's health and educational outcomes, and reduce the risk of harm.

Our teams bring together professionals supporting parents experiencing domestic abuse, mental health and substance misuse challenges.

What We're Looking For

  • Passion for excellent service and continuous improvement.
  • Administration experience and confidence using Microsoft Office and databases.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.

Further Information

The successful candidates base is negotiable between Rossendale and Burnley.

Working Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday will be full working days with the remaining hours negotiable across Monday and Friday.

Local Government Reorganisation

The Government has confirmed that local government across Lancashire will be reorganised, with the current 15 councils being replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire from April 2028.

If you are successful in your application, you will initially join Lancashire County Council. However, as part of the planned transition, your employment will transfer to one of the new unitary councils from April 2028, subject to the implementation of the reorganisation and relevant employment legislation.

Throughout this period, our focus remains on delivering excellent services to our communities. By joining us now, you'll play an important role in shaping the future of local government and helping to build a strong new organisation that will serve residents for years to come.
