Location: Runcorn / Office Based

Salary: £32,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Role Overview

The role exists to lead the Business Support Administration Team in delivering accurate, timely and compliant administrative support across pre-court debt recovery, legal and High Court Enforcement activity.

The Business Support Team Leader is responsible for leading and developing the Administration Team, ensuring the efficient delivery of administrative support across DCBL and DCB Legal’s pre-court debt recovery, legal and High Court Enforcement operations.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day running of the department, ensuring all work is completed accurately, within agreed service levels and in compliance with regulatory, legal and internal requirements. They will drive operational excellence, identify process improvements, monitor performance through KPIs and ensure the team provides an exceptional service to both internal stakeholders and clients.

The role is pivotal in ensuring cases progress seamlessly from instruction through to collections, litigation and enforcement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management
    • Lead, coach, and motivate team members to achieve individual and team targets.
    • Plan, allocate, and monitor daily workloads to ensure efficient operation.
    • Provide training, mentoring, and ongoing performance feedback to team members.
    • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings and performance reviews.
    • Monitor productivity, quality, and compliance with company policies and procedures.
    • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and team performance.
    • Foster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment.
    • Ensure health, safety, and company standards are consistently maintained.
    • Communicate business updates, objectives, and changes effectively to the team.
    • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of new team members.
    • Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of team performance and operational activities.
    • Work closely with management and other departments to achieve business goals.
    • Promote continuous improvement the team.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience managing an administration or operations team.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Experience managing high-volume workloads.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple competing tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong people management and coaching experience.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement.

What We Offer

  • Salary £32,000.00
  • Hours: Monday-Thursday, 09:00-17:00, Friday 09:00 - 16:00
  • Annual Leave: 30 days including Bank Holidays

Desirable experience includes knowledge of debt recovery, legal administration, High Court Enforcement processes, case management systems, regulatory requirements and continuous improvement methodologies.
