About the role
We’re looking for a technically curious Business Systems Analyst to join our IT Applications team at Specialist Risk Group. Sitting at the intersection of product, systems and delivery, this role focuses on turning business needs into clear, workable system solutions. You’ll work closely with Product Owners, delivery teams and external partners to support efficient, well-structured technology change across the organisation.

Embedded within the Applications Delivery function, this role supports the design, configuration and testing of systems that underpin SRG’s operations, with a strong focus on automation and modern delivery practices.
What you will be doing
- Translating product requirements into clear technical specifications for internal teams and third-party partners.
- Working with vendors to understand platform capability and roadmaps and evaluating emerging technologies including AI-enabled solutions.
- Supporting automation of manual processes using automation platforms, AI-enabled tools, and workflow solutions.
- Defining test approaches and supporting UAT to ensure system changes are fit for purpose.
- Using tools such as Azure DevOps or Jira to support backlog, release and delivery activity.
- Contributing to Agile and Waterfall delivery ceremonies and release coordination.
Who we are looking for
This role will suit someone with a strong systems mindset and a genuine interest in how technology enables better outcomes. We also welcome applications from graduates and early-career candidates with the right curiosity and aptitude.
- Experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Analyst or technically focused Business Analyst role (desirable).
- Good technical literacy, with the ability to understand system architecture, integrations and data flows.
- Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery environments.
- Understanding of modern application architecture principles (API-first, modular, cloud-native).
- Understanding of test strategies and UAT coordination.
- Confidence using delivery and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira or Confluence.
