Business Systems Manager
Alfreton, Derbyshire | Hybrid Working | Leadership Opportunity
We're supporting a well-known outdoor retail and equipment brand on the appointment of a Business Systems Manager to play a key role in an exciting period of business transformation.
Having recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, the organisation is now focused on optimising its systems landscape, improving processes, and ensuring technology enables future growth. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious systems leader who enjoys driving change, developing teams, and partnering with stakeholders across the business.
The Opportunity
As Business Systems Manager, you'll lead the Systems Team and take ownership of the organisation's business applications, reporting, integrations, and ERP environment. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure technology supports a major business transformation programme while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and user experience.
This role would suit someone who combines strong technical and business systems knowledge with the energy, drive, and ambition to challenge the status quo and help shape the future direction of the function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
