Business Systems Manager – Permanent - Gloucestershire or London – £80,000 – £90,000 – Hybrid- Willing to undergo SC

Our client is a major player in the defence and advanced technology sector, the kind of organisation where the work you do genuinely matters, supporting national security and cutting-edge programmes across the globe. This isn't a business coasting along; they're growing, investing, and building out new capability. You'd be joining a forward-thinking IT leadership team at a genuinely exciting moment.

The Business Systems team you'll lead is newly formed, which means you get to shape it; the people, the processes, the roadmap. You'll sit at the intersection of technology and business strategy, partnering with stakeholders across multiple countries and driving real change across a complex enterprise applications landscape.

To be considered, you'll need proven experience in senior applications management or IT leadership, with strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise ecosystems; think ERP, PLM, BI, SaaS platforms, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365, or similar. You'll know how to lead teams, manage vendors, and get things done in a matrixed organisation. A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is expected.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
