Business System Support Assistant

We're looking for an organised Business System Support Assistant to provide day-to-day support to the business across our key applications, primarily Oracle NetSuite. You'll be the first point of contact for routine system queries, helping colleagues resolve issues while keeping user access, support requests and system records running smoothly.

You'll also have the opportunity to get involved in system improvements, testing and upgrades, working with teams across the business to make sure changes are successfully implemented and users have the support they need.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide first-line support to users, helping resolve day-to-day queries and ensuring support requests are accurately logged, categorised and followed up.
  • Manage user access across Oracle NetSuite and other business systems, including onboarding, changes and offboarding.
  • Maintain support records and produce regular reports on case volumes, resolution trends and outstanding issues.
  • Support system changes, enhancements, upgrades and defect fixes by coordinating testing with departmental Super Users and recording feedback and results.
  • Prepare and maintain release notes, user guidance and other documentation to help colleagues understand system changes.
  • Work with internal teams and external system support providers, attending meetings, tracking actions and keeping stakeholders updated.
  • Raise and manage purchase orders for IT-related software, licences and services, working with suppliers and internal teams to ensure these are processed correctly.
  • Maintain project plans and records for Business Systems initiatives, tracking tasks, milestones, risks and progress.
  • Look for opportunities to improve processes and the overall user experience, taking ownership of tasks and supporting the wider Business Systems team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
