About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and technically confident Business Systems Analyst to join our team on a fixed-term basis until October 29, 2027. This role is based in Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, with a hybrid working arrangement that combines remote work with on-site presence. As a key member of our IT team, you will support and enhance the core systems that underpin our housing and operational services. Working closely with the IT Business Systems Manager, you will ensure the continuous operation of vital platforms, contribute to ongoing system improvements, and support future system transformation initiatives.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and upgrading existing housing and scheduling systems
- Reviewing system data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement
- Supporting the transition to new systems that meet business needs
- Acting as a vital link between technical teams, business users, and third-party suppliers
- Facilitating effective communication and collaboration to deliver successful system improvements
You will need a strong understanding of organizational processes, governance, and stakeholder engagement. The ability to manage competing priorities, investigate system issues, and contribute to system development through testing and implementation are essential components of this position. Your proactive approach and technical confidence will be instrumental in supporting the ongoing success of our operational systems.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have experience in a Business Systems Analyst, Systems Administrator, or Applications Support role, with a solid understanding of how business systems support operational services. Demonstrable experience managing system upgrades, enhancements, and process improvements is essential. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and suggest actionable solutions, are highly valued. You should possess excellent organizational skills, enabling you to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial, as you will collaborate with colleagues across various departments, external suppliers, and technical teams. Familiarity with governance frameworks and proven ability to influence stakeholders to achieve business objectives are important. A quick learner who can understand organizational priorities and build credibility at all levels will thrive in this role. Experience within housing, property services, or a similar customer-focused environment is desirable but not mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain the core housing and operational systems, ensuring their effective operation and continuous availability.
- Assist with system upgrades, version updates, and process enhancements to improve operational efficiency.
- Review system data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Support the transition and implementation of new systems, ensuring they meet business requirements and deliver tangible benefits.
- Act as a primary point of contact for system-related queries, providing support and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with technical teams, suppliers, and business users to design, test, and implement system enhancements.
- Contribute to documentation, training, and user support activities to facilitate smooth adoption of system changes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational governance, data security, and operational standards.
- Participate in project planning and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT services.
