Business Systems Analyst / Developer

Reporting to the IT Manager, you'll support and develop business-critical applications, helping colleagues resolve technical issues and keeping operational systems running effectively. This role combines hands-on programming, application support, and business systems improvement. RPG experience is desirable, but candidates with strong programming ability and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply. Full training will be provided as required.

The Role

  • Maintain and enhance bespoke business applications.
  • Support systems across retail, hospitality, wholesale, ERP, and finance.
  • Perform database maintenance and system monitoring.
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to users.
  • Work with internal teams and external technology suppliers to resolve issues.
  • Contribute to digital forensics activities when required.
  • Prioritise tasks according to business impact and follow issues through to resolution.

What You'll Bring

  • Third-level education.
  • Strong programming ability and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Experience testing data, programs, and processes.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to communicate clearly with users at all levels.
  • A customer-focused approach and the ability to work independently and within a team.
  • A current driving licence.

The role is based at Head Office, with core hours of 8.30am-5.00pm, Monday to Friday. Some flexibility is required.
