Business Systems Analyst (Insurance)
📍 Hybrid Working | Essex & London (2 Days Per Week in the Office)
💰 Competitive Salary | Dependent on Experience | Mid-Senior Level
Insurance Expertise Meets Technical Delivery
Are you a Business Systems Analyst or Technical Business Analyst with strong insurance knowledge and hands-on SQL skills? We're working with a highly collaborative and supportive organisation looking to strengthen its team with several hires. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy operating at the intersection of business analysis, system configuration and technical problem-solving.
To be considered, you'll need experience within the General Insurance market, London Market insurance, or ideally both, alongside strong SQL and business analysis capabilities.
The Role
No two days are the same. One day you could be running requirements workshops and mapping business processes, the next you'll be configuring systems, writing SQL scripts or supporting project implementation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
