Role

As a Business Systems Consultant, you will take a leading role in the development, enhancement, and technical direction of a Microsoft Business Central environment and its wider application ecosystem. Reporting to the Business Systems Lead, you will be responsible for designing and delivering technical solutions, developing and maintaining Business Central applications, and ensuring seamless integration with internal and third-party systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and implementing technical solutions and system improvements.
  • Developing and maintaining applications within Microsoft Business Central.
  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications and scalable solutions.
  • Driving optimisation and automation initiatives to improve business processes.
  • Managing data integrity, security, system performance, and development environments.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities and resolving complex technical issues.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Contributing to the long-term architecture and strategic direction of ERP and associated systems.

The role is based in Sunderland and will require someone to spend 3-4 days per week in the office. A remote working option is not available.

Person

You will be an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central professional with a strong understanding of system integration, APIs, and enterprise applications. Commercially aware and technically capable, you will be comfortable engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and translating business needs into effective technology solutions.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven end-to-end experience with Microsoft Business Central.
  • Strong knowledge of integrations, interfaces, and API-driven solutions.
  • At least five years' experience working with Business Central or Dynamics platforms.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, and cloud-based integrations would be advantageous.
