Our client, leading retailer, is seeking a Business Systems Coordinator to join their IT Projects team.

As Business Systems Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, designing, developing, and implementing business, financial, and operational systems that support key organisational functions and business processes.

About You

You'll have a solid understanding of retail business processes and be:

  • Methodical with a structured approach to problem-solving
  • A logical and analytical thinker
  • Comfortable managing a varied workload
  • Able to take ownership of your own projects and workstreams
  • Adaptable, with the ability to respond to changing priorities and deadlines

Previous IT qualifications are not essential. Our client is looking for someone with the right attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with business stakeholders, system owners, and end users to gather and define business, financial, and operational requirements.
  • Analyse existing systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Produce clear documentation of business processes, data flows, decision points, and system integrations.
  • Assess potential business solutions, considering both commercial viability and operational benefits.
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers to negotiate costs and deliver value-for-money solutions.
  • Coordinate the implementation of new business systems using internal teams and external partners.
  • Provide ongoing business support, including user training, troubleshooting, and system guidance.
  • Produce detailed functional specifications for third-party developers and suppliers.
