Filtronic

Filtronic is a growing, award-winning technology company designing and manufacturing advanced RF, microwave, and mmWave solutions for the Space, Aerospace, Defence, and Telecommunications markets.

As we continue to grow, we are investing in our people, processes, and systems to ensure we have the capability to scale effectively. This is an exciting opportunity to join Filtronic at an important stage of our growth and play a key role in shaping how our business systems support the organisation.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Business Systems Transformation Manager to take ownership of the development, optimisation, and integration of Filtronic’s core business systems.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring our systems, data, and processes provide the operational capability, visibility, and control required to support a growing and increasingly complex manufacturing business.

Working across Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Programmes, Finance, and Quality, you will develop a strong understanding of our end-to-end business processes and translate business requirements into effective, scalable system solutions.

This is a hands-on role. You will shape the business systems roadmap while remaining directly involved throughout the delivery lifecycle, from requirements and solution design through configuration, testing, implementation, and adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and develop Filtronic’s business systems roadmap, aligned with business growth and operational priorities.
  • Lead the implementation, optimisation, and continuous improvement of core business systems.
  • Work closely with functional teams to understand processes, requirements, constraints, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Translate business requirements into effective system and process solutions.
  • Take a hands-on approach to system configuration, workflows, reporting, testing, and issue resolution.
  • Lead system changes from initial requirements through design, UAT, implementation, and successful adoption.
  • Identify and remove unnecessary manual processes, duplication, and system workarounds.
  • Improve integration and information flow across the business systems landscape.
  • Establish robust data governance, master-data ownership, and system controls.
  • Develop reporting, dashboards, and management information to improve operational and management visibility.
  • Establish effective system administration, access, permissions, and change controls.
  • Manage external system providers and implementation partners while retaining strong internal ownership and knowledge.
  • Develop internal capability through effective training, documentation, and super-user networks.
  • Support the evaluation, selection, and implementation of future business systems and technologies.
  • Ensure Filtronic’s systems landscape remains scalable and appropriate for the future needs of the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • A strong track record of implementing and improving ERP and wider enterprise systems.
  • Strong practical ERP expertise, including configuration, workflows, reporting, testing, troubleshooting, and implementation.

  • Experience integrating ERP with other business and operational systems.
  • Strong business analysis, process improvement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading complex systems implementations and multiple concurrent workstreams.
