An established and highly successful Northern Ireland business is seeking a Business Technology Lead to drive digital transformation across multiple business functions and help shape the next phase of its growth.
This is a newly created role offering a unique opportunity to work directly with senior leadership, including the Managing Director, Finance Director, and Technology Director, to identify opportunities for improvement, modernise processes, and maximise the value of technology across the organisation.
Initially, your focus will be on delivering tangible business improvements across 5-6 key functions. Over time, the role is expected to evolve into a broader technology leadership position, providing significant scope to influence strategy, build capability, and shape the future direction of technology within the business.
The Opportunity
You will act as the bridge between business operations and technology, working closely with departmental leaders to understand challenges, identify opportunities, and deliver transformation initiatives that improve efficiency, customer experience, and commercial outcomes.
Rather than building technology solutions yourself, you will focus on setting priorities, coordinating stakeholders, managing delivery partners, and ensuring investments generate measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities for improvement and transformation.
- You will work with senior leaders to identify where technology can remove friction, improve efficiency, and support future growth, then drive some initiatives through to delivery.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI and automation, and assess their practical business application.
- Develop business case, measure benefits, and prioritise investment opportunities.
- Support the leadership team with technology and transformation planning.
- Help define the future technology operating model and long-term strategy.

About You

You'll likely bring:
- Experience leading business transformation or digital change initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Experience improving processes, systems, and ways of working across multiple business functions.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to build business cases and demonstrate ROI.
- Experience working with third-party technology providers and delivery partners.
- Knowledge of CRM, ERP, data, reporting, automation, or business technology platforms.
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach with a focus on delivering outcomes.
