Business Unit Director – Manchester

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Business Unit Director to join a leading facilities management provider, overseeing a significant business unit and working with a high-profile client within a complex operational environment.

This is a senior leadership position with responsibility for the overall commercial and operational performance of the business unit. You will play a key role in developing the client relationship, driving growth and ensuring consistently high standards of service delivery.

  • Full commercial and P&L responsibility for the business unit
  • Develop and maintain senior-level client relationships
  • Identify and deliver opportunities for business growth
  • Lead and develop operational and account management teams
  • Drive performance against contractual KPIs and SLAs
  • Oversee governance, compliance and operational standards
  • Develop and implement strategic business plans
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders across the wider organisation
  • Ensure the business unit delivers against financial and operational targets

  • Significant senior-level experience within facilities management or a comparable service environment
  • Proven experience managing a sizeable P&L
  • Strong commercial and business development capability
  • Experience managing complex, high-value client relationships
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • A track record of delivering growth and improving operational performance
  • Excellent commercial, financial and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience within a regulated, complex or public-sector environment would be advantageous
