Hybrid role - some home working with regular travel to ISS and Client sites as required in the UK

Senior level salary and package

Here at ISS as a leading Facilities Management (FM) provider, we are looking to recruit an established executive leader to join our "Financial Services" business unit, consisting of a number of our biggest and most exciting contracts, encompassing both Hard and Soft FM services.

This is a senior leadership role with full P&L ownership for a financial services portfolio of c.£100m, accountable for portfolio performance, client retention, commercial growth, operational excellence, and leadership of account teams.

The role will report to the Segment Director – Financial Services and will work closely with Key Account Directors, Key Account Managers, the Key Account Portfolio Manager, Commercial & Business Development, Finance, People & Culture, HSEQ, Business Analysis / WFM and wider UK&I functions.

This role is designed for a leader who can operate confidently from boardroom to frontline: building trusted senior client relationships, driving commercial performance, improving margin, and creating the conditions for teams and Placemakers to succeed.

This is a fantastic, highly unusual senior vacancy to join a market leader in the FM space, ensuring current and continued success with some of sector's most enviable Accounts.

Actions will include:

  • Take full accountability for the financial services portfolio P&L, annual budget delivery, margin improvement, cash discipline, risk management and performance across all agreed metrics.
  • Lead the portfolio business planning cycle, ensuring account plans are commercially robust, operationally realistic, and aligned with the FS and UK&I strategy.
  • Take full accountability for the financial services portfolio P&L, annual budget delivery, margin improvement, cash discipline, risk management and performance across all agreed metrics.
  • Ensure all accounts have clear contract management plans, governance routines, risk logs, financial controls, and performance improvement plans.
  • Lead commercial transformation across the financial services portfolio, with a clear focus on margin improvement, disciplined contract change, value-added services, cost control and better use of data.
  • Identify and convert opportunities in sustainability, capital projects, workplace advisory, technical services, incident management, wellness strategy and work modes, aligned to the FS structure’s focus on margin-enhancing value services.
  • Own senior client relationships across the portfolio, ensuring regular executive-level engagement and clear alignment between client priorities, ISS delivery and commercial opportunities.
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across the portfolio, including mobilisation, transition, stabilisation, transformation and continuous improvement.
  • Provide clear, insight-led performance, risk and strategic updates to UK&I senior leadership/CLT to improve and influence decision-making across the portfolio and business unit, including labour productivity, workforce planning, overtime, temporary labour, service performance, margin and customer reporting.
  • Lead, coach and develop KAPD, KADs, KAMs, portfolio support roles and other matrix leadership, creating a high-performing team with clear accountability, strong engagement and consistent leadership standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
