Project Finance Director, PE backed Energy Infrastructure, London (with UK travel)

Salary £90-£100k + bonus

An exceptional opportunity has arisen to join a rapidly growing, private equity-backed infrastructure group operating across the UK's critical energy and power sectors.

The business is entering an ambitious phase of development, with a clear strategy to exceed £1bn in revenue through a combination of strong organic growth and continued acquisition activity.

This is a highly visible divisional finance leadership role within a commercially focused and acquisitive environment. Reporting directly to the CFO, the successful candidate will partner closely with divisional Managing Directors and senior commercial and operational leaders to drive performance, strengthen financial control and support the integration of newly acquired businesses.

This is not a traditional, desk-based finance position. It requires a hands-on, confident and analytical finance leader who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, project and contract-based environment. The successful candidate will provide robust challenge, translate financial information into meaningful commercial insight, influence decision-making across the division and bring confidence and support to the finance team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
