Role Overview
Join a skilled and customer-focused butchery team where quality workmanship, excellent service and product knowledge are at the heart of everything you do.
We are looking for an experienced Butcher to join our team in Coleraine. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft and enjoys delivering outstanding service to customers. Working within a busy retail environment, you'll play a key role in preparing high-quality products, maintaining excellent standards and supporting the day-to-day operation of the store.
Pay Rate: £13.15 per hour
Key Duties
- Preparing a variety of meat cuts to customer and company specifications.
- Providing excellent customer service, sharing product knowledge and offering advice on product preparation and use.
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and presentation across the counter and pre-pack areas.
- Managing stock rotation, product quality checks and sampling activities.
- Receiving deliveries and completing associated documentation accurately.
- Supporting promotional activities and assisting with general store operations.
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues and covering supervisory responsibilities when required.

Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience within a retail butchery environment is essential.
- A strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service and achieving sales objectives.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and relevant butchery regulations.
- Experience supporting, coaching or training team members.
- Confident taking responsibility and supporting the management team when required.
- Able to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- A proactive and dependable team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
