We are seeking an experienced Butcher to join our existing meat and poultry team in Rugby. Here at Carnivore, we offer a bespoke butchery solution, which can be adapted to suit our clients’ changing needs. All of our meat is completely traceable from field to fork and we offer a wide range of options, including UK Red Tractor Farm Assured, imported, halal, and free range.
We have an immediate requirement for an experienced Butcher, to work in a chilled environment preparing and cutting meat and poultry products for packing to specification, whilst ensuring quality, consistency and traceability procedures and standards are always followed.

- Completing all tasks set by line manager.
- Prepare meat to customer specification, including boning, tying, grinding, cutting and trimming to make it easier for customers.
- Packing of meat to Company standards.
- Maintain and clean workstations to reduce the risk of food contamination and adhere to food safety guidelines.
- Storing meat appropriately (e.g., hanging meat, cold storage at correct temperature)
- Fulfilment of customer orders.
- Ensure that wastage is minimal, and you work in a cost-efficient manner.
We are looking for applicants with the following skills, attributes, and experience:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience within a butchery role.
- Confident knife skills and knowledge of different cuts of meat.
- Industry recognised qualification.
- Strong organisational, planning and time management abilities.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise, multitask and meet deadlines.
- Flexible approach to work.
