Holdsworth Foods is one of the UK's largest independent foodservice distributors. We have a real passion for what we do and our business is built on the quality of service we provide. We are a preferred partner for various caterers, including local authorities, hospitals, care homes, independent schools, pub groups, restaurants, and cafes. Our primary operations involve warehousing and distribution from our ten sites across the UK, which feature two catering butchery facilities. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond for our customers, delivering exceptional service and quality.
Role: Butcher
We are looking for a Butcher to work in our Butchery team at our Tideswell depot. You will be joining a highly skilled team who produce excellent cuts of meat for our range of customers.

Working Hours
The working hours are 08.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday plus overtime when required.
Duties
- Prepare and cut meat products according to customer specifications
- Trim excess fat, gristle, and other undesirable parts from meat
- Portion meat into appropriate sizes for packaging
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment
- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and ordering supplies as needed

Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Butcher or in a similar role preferred
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Strong knife skills and ability to handle sharp objects safely
- Understanding of different cuts of meat and their uses
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
