ICMA develops industry-driven standards, recommendations and market practices and engages with regulatory and governmental authorities to support efficient and resilient international capital markets. Its work covers primary markets, secondary markets, repo and collateral, sustainable finance, and financial technology and digitalisation
About the role
ICMA is seeking a Buy-Side Associate to join its Market Practice and Regulatory Policy team.

Working closely with the Senior Director and wider team, the successful candidate will support ICMA’s engagement with asset managers, investors and other market participants.
The role will include:
- supporting member engagement, committees and working groups;
- monitoring market and regulatory developments;
- conducting research and preparing draft briefings and consultation materials;
- contributing to publications, events and market-focused projects; and
- coordinating activities with colleagues across ICMA.
About you
You will have at least two years’ relevant professional experience, ideally within financial services, a trade association, regulatory affairs, public policy, market practice or a related field.
You will also bring:
- strong research and analytical skills;
- an interest in international debt capital markets;
- excellent written and verbal English communication skills;
- strong organisation and attention to detail; and
- the ability to build effective relationships and work collaboratively.
