Our client, a prominent player in the aerospace industry, is seeking a skilled Buyer to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to engineering procurement while leveraging your expertise in a fast-paced environment. Summary
- Start date: ASAP
- Duration: 6 months with potential to be extended
- Location: Wolverhampton
- Pay Rate: £25.00 per hour
- Hours: 37 hours per week - Monday to Friday early finish and working from home on Fridays!
Key Responsibilities
- Manage SAP updates and ensure accurate data entry.
- Conduct Line Of Balance reviews to assess supplier performance and procurement strategy.
- Undertake supplier visits to foster strong relationships and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Oversee Procurement of Assembly Parts
- Facilitate the procurement of finished goods
- Handle the indirect procurement of items to support engineering testing on-site in Wolverhampton.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers based in the UK and India.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to manage over 150 NGSA piece part components.
- Place orders and coordinate supplier selection and management.
- Work closely with the engineering team to align supplier engineering requirements.
- Conduct R&D supplier visits and support onboarding processes, including coordination of supplier NDAs.

Experience And Qualifications
- Proven experience in a procurement environment is essential.
- Familiarity with MRP systems, preferably SAP, is required.
- Previous experience in the aerospace sector is highly desirable.
- An engineering background with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes is critical.
- Ability to interpret and understand technical drawings is necessary.
Work Environment
- Standard working hours are 8.25 hours from Monday to Thursday, with 4 hours on Friday.
- Enjoy a hybrid working model, with onsite work from Monday to Thursday and the opportunity to work from home on Fridays.
