Buyer (6-Month Fixed-Term Contract)

£38,000 - £43,000

Are you a commercially minded Buyer who enjoys building strong supplier relationships, negotiating value-driven agreements, and making a tangible impact on business performance?

We're partnering with a well-established organisation seeking an experienced procurement professional to join their team on an initial six-month fixed-term contract. This is an opportunity to step into a busy, fast-moving environment where your expertise will help drive cost efficiencies, support operational continuity, and strengthen supplier performance.

Working across multiple areas of the business, you'll take ownership of supplier relationships, sourcing activities, and commercial negotiations, ensuring products and services are delivered on time, at the right quality, and at the best possible value.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading negotiations on pricing, service levels, delivery schedules, and commercial terms
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce costs and improve supplier performance
  • Sourcing products and services from both existing and new suppliers
  • Gathering and analysing quotations to support informed purchasing decisions
  • Monitoring supplier performance and resolving quality, service, or delivery issues
  • Conducting market research to identify alternative suppliers and benchmark pricing
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and support operational needs
  • Maintaining accurate purchasing, supplier, and contract information
  • Supporting wider procurement and continuous improvement initiatives

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
