We’re looking for an experienced buyer to join our Operational Purchasing team based at JCB Service. You’ll be the crucial link between our service teams and our supply chain, playing a key role in building strong supplier relationships, negotiating the best deals and ensuring our parts inventory is always optimised.

What does this role involve day to day?

  • You'll source and purchase service parts, components and consumables from approved suppliers
  • You’ll negotiate competitive pricing, favourable terms and reliable lead times with suppliers
  • You’ll maintain accurate purchasing records and track performance against KPIs
  • You’ll identify and onboard new suppliers to strengthen our supply chain resilience
  • You’ll undertake supplier resourcing activity on a proactive basis
  • You’ll build and manage supplier relationships
  • You’ll work closely with key stakeholders in the Inventory and Planning teams, Customer and Technical Service and Global Warehouse functions

This will be suited to you if…

  • You have Purchasing experience in a fast-paced environment
  • You possess strong negotiation, influencing and relationship-building skills
  • You are proficient with ERP/MRP systems and solid Excel skills for reporting and analysis
  • You have strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-function teams
  • You are a dedicated team player that can multitask and work well under pressure
  • You possess effective time management skills enabling a quick response to various demands
  • You have a customer focused mindset
