We are currently looking for a Junior Buyer to join our site based Chichester team.

The role is part of the core supply chain planning team at Wixroyd Group Ltd, where you will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and acquiring goods and raw materials for in-house manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include focusing on supplier timely delivery, supplier negotiation and communication, quality of products as per our standard along with supplier performance monitoring and ensuring operational efficiency within the team.

The role will work closely with our customer service team and the business development team to ensure we are fulfilling customer needs and requests in a timely manner from our suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Raising quotations with suppliers
  • Raising and processing supplier purchase orders
  • Open order book management
  • Proactively expedite orders with suppliers to ensure excellent customer on-time delivery and minimize overdue orders
  • Actively challenge supplier lead times and minimum order quantities
  • Track purchase orders by working with suppliers, couriers, and goods in team
  • Logistics - understanding of Inco terms and arranging shipment collections via air, road, and sea freight
  • Liaise with suppliers to ensure any quality issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Updating and communicating delivery changes or delays to customer orders to the customer service team
  • Co-ordinating returns to suppliers
  • Monitor supplier OTD performance, communication, product quality, and pricing at the end of each period
  • Ensure the ERP parameters (supplier pricing, supplier records, supplier product codes, lead times, MOQ's) are maintained and updated where necessary by working with the marketing team to ensure they are uploaded onto our ERP system
  • Other duties in connection with supply chain control and improvement as required

Skills and Experience:

Our company operates on a two-shift basis (on-site) which rotates weekly, to ensure the best service for our customers.

Shift times are:

  • Week 1: Monday to Friday 08:00 to 16:30
  • Week 2: Monday to Thursday 09:00 to 17:30. Every Friday 08:00 to 16:30

Daily breaks are 2 x 15 minutes and 1 x 50 minutes.
