We’re looking for an ambitious Buyer to join our Procurement team and play a key role in delivering commercial value, building strategic supplier partnerships and helping shape the future of our supply chain.
Your new role:
As Buyer, you’ll take ownership of sourcing and procurement activities across a range of direct product categories, working closely with suppliers and stakeholders across the business to secure the best possible value, quality and service. You’ll lead supplier negotiations, identify cost-saving opportunities, support strategic sourcing projects and drive supplier performance, while ensuring compliance, ethical sourcing and continuous improvement remain at the heart of everything you do. This is an excellent opportunity to make a tangible impact within a business where procurement is recognised as a key contributor to long-term growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead sourcing and procurement projects that deliver commercial value, cost efficiencies and long-term business benefits.
- Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts and commercial agreements, ensuring Häfele UK achieves the best possible value and service levels.
- Build and manage strong supplier relationships, driving performance improvements, innovation and continuous development.
- Identify new sourcing opportunities and market trends that strengthen our product offering and support profitable growth.
- Support tendering and supplier selection activities, ensuring robust decision-making and best value outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with teams across Supply Chain, Sales, Finance and the wider Häfele Group to achieve strategic business objectives.
- Ensure suppliers meet Häfele UK's ethical sourcing, compliance and sustainability standards, helping maintain a responsible and resilient supply chain.
- Monitor supplier performance, risks and opportunities, providing insight and recommendations that support continuous improvement and informed decision-making.

What you’ll need to succeed:
We're looking for a proactive and commercially focused procurement professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and influencing positive outcomes. You'll ideally bring:
- Experience within a procurement, buying or sourcing environment
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills with a track record of delivering value
- Excellent analytical, numerical and planning abilities
- A commercially minded approach with an eye for both opportunities and risks
- Experience managing supplier relationships and driving performance improvements
- The ability to successfully manage projects and collaborate across multiple functions
- Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage stakeholders at all levels
- A solutions-focused mindset and passion for continuous improvement
- The motivation to learn, develop and contribute to a high-performing team
Experience of Lean, Six Sigma, indirect procurement and/or a CIPS qualification would be advantageous, but most importantly we're looking for someone with the drive, capability and ambition to succeed.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Core hours of work are 8:45am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, however, flexibility will be required for this role. The role is being offered with hybrid option meaning you would be site-based Monday and Tuesday and a further third day of your choice, with 2 days from home.
