About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Buyer to join our team at Sulzer GT Aero Services Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for procuring goods and services necessary for our operations, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to quality standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish strong vendor relationships.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and anticipate material needs to prevent stockouts and support production schedules.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance departments to understand material requirements and specifications.
- Resolve supplier issues, including quality discrepancies, late deliveries, and invoice discrepancies.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and generate reports as required.
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations and company ethical guidelines.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the aerospace, manufacturing, or industrial services sector.
- Proven negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of purchasing best practices and supply chain management principles.
