Are you an experienced Buyer looking for a role where you can genuinely influence commercial performance, supplier relationships and the way a growing business buys?
We're working with an established and growing private-label consumer products business that partners with brands to source high-quality products, raw materials and packaging. Due to continued growth, they're looking for an experienced Buyer to join their Procurement team and play an important role in delivering the right products, at the right cost, quality and lead time. This isn't simply a PO-raising role. You'll be trusted to analyse data, challenge suppliers, identify opportunities and make recommendations that have a tangible commercial impact on the business.

You'll be involved in:
- Managing RFQs and tenders across manufacturing, raw materials and packaging
- Supporting costing exercises and assessing pricing, MOQs, specifications, lead times and supply risk
- Negotiating with suppliers across price, payment terms, MOQs and lead times
- Benchmarking suppliers and pricing against the wider market
- Monitoring commodity, raw material, packaging, freight and exchange-rate trends
- Identifying opportunities for cost savings, alternative sourcing and supplier consolidation
- Managing and analysing supplier performance and procurement KPIs
- Producing spend, savings and performance reports
- Maintaining accurate supplier, pricing, material and lead-time data within the ERP system
- Supporting supplier onboarding and approval processes
- Working closely with NPD from initial product brief through to first order
- Building strong relationships with both suppliers and internal stakeholders

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
