The Role

The Geotechnical Sub Alliance (GSA) is at the forefront of the Sizewell C nuclear power station development - one of the UK’s largest and most exciting infrastructure programmes.

We’re responsible for preparing the foundations of the entire site: designing and constructing cut‑off walls, retaining structures, soil improvements and more. Using advanced geotechnical engineering and world‑class construction technologies, this is a rare opportunity to contribute to a national project that will shape the UK’s clean‑energy future.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Buyer within the Geotechnical Sub Alliance (GSA), you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Sizewell C Nuclear Power Station by securing the materials, equipment and services required for complex ground‑engineering works.

Working within a collaborative alliance environment, you will manage end‑to‑end procurement activity, ensuring value, compliance and performance across the supply chain. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your procurement career on a major infrastructure project.

  • End-to-End Procurement: Manage the full procurement lifecycle, from early supplier engagement and sourcing strategy through to tendering, award and supplier management, ensuring best‑value outcomes.
  • Sourcing & Tendering: Conduct market research and run RFIs, RFQs and ITTs using e‑procurement systems (e.g. Jaggaer), carrying out tender evaluations and making award recommendations based on total cost of ownership.
  • Supplier & Category Management: Build and manage supplier relationships, monitor performance and drive continuous improvement across key categories.
  • Commercial & Operational Support: Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring compliance with governance, quality and project requirements, while supporting fast‑paced delivery with short lead times.
  • Market Insight & Sustainability: Monitor supply markets to identify risks, opportunities and innovation, while supporting sustainability, environmental, ED&I and Zero Harm objectives across the supply chain.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project, technical and operational teams to understand requirements and deliver a responsive, value‑adding procurement service.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
