Strategic Sourcing Buyer – Aerospace
📍 Essex | Hybrid Working | Competitive Salary + Benefits
Are you a procurement professional with experience sourcing fasteners, engineered components or aerospace materials? Do you enjoy negotiating commercial agreements, building supplier partnerships and driving cost-saving initiatives? We’re supporting a leading aerospace supply chain organisation in the search for a Strategic Sourcing Buyer to join their growing purchasing team. This is a commercially focused role where you’ll lead RFQs, negotiate supplier agreements and develop sourcing strategies that directly impact business performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead supplier sourcing activities, RFQs and commercial negotiations.
- Identify, evaluate and develop strategic suppliers.
- Drive cost reduction, supplier performance and sourcing initiatives.
- Support new customer programmes and product introductions.
- Monitor market trends and identify new sourcing opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure supply chain excellence.

About You
- Aerospace procurement or sourcing experience.
- Knowledge of aerospace (advantageous but not essential) and supply chain processes.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems.
- Commercially minded, organised and relationship-driven.
